I'm... okay, no. I haven't gotten a response (or if I have I haven't seen it appear yet) so I'm not going to dwell just yet. And notifs are incredibly delayed anyway, so.
Other things. Daily routine! I finally caved and got a bento box, because I finally caved and got the new Bag of Holding. Which, it isn't so much, I finally caved, as the fact that the satchel I was using for my laptop sprouted a hole in the bottom I could almost put my fist to. Now, I suppose I could use one of the copious numbers of backpacks floating around the apartment, but I actually like the damn bag. I like messenger bags. They're not entirely good for my back, I suspect, but they're more useful than swinging my backpack around all the time. And the new Bag of Holding has enough space for me to put my laptop and my Japanese textbook in one pocket and my bento in another, with space left over. I may just transfer most of the contents of my purse into it and just use that one bag for daily use, and maybe even keep my purse folded up in case I need to go somewhere without the rest of the bag.
The bento box is something I've only been considering for, heh, a year and a half. Pluses! It would encourage serious portion control, it would encourage me to have more variety in my lunch diet other than just sandwiches or takeout sushi/sandwiches, and it would probably get me to eat more fruits/vegetables. Minuses! I have to work into my schedule actually filling it and then cleaning the containers. Cleaning the containers is less of a hassle, I just have to make myself stay in the kitchen and do it when at work. Filling it will be a challenge. Rice is easy, when we have stir fry for dinner I can just scoop out and fill a container since I picked up a couple extra containers. I might also eventually splurge for some rice molds. Everything else... I don't know. We'll have to see. Another thing I plan on doing is, since I got the extra containers, filling them maybe a couple days in advance and just picking what I want that day. It's a work in progress. We'll see how practical it is.
I am planning on, when I go to bed, logging off maybe a half an hour early so I can put things in boxes, prepare my bento, cut fruit or veggies and rinse the tools I use and put it all in the fridge so I can just grab it and go, since in the mornings I'm always rushing by the end. Actually, I guess I don't even have to log off, I just have to let you, the internet, nag me. :) I may even do the trendy thing and take pictures of my bento, but we'll see. One thing I hope to do with this is get rid of some of the randomass crap that's in my cupboards, like kidney beans or tinned carrots.
I've figured out that I need to write 85% of the novel in order to qualify for actually turning it in for the original big bang thing. Which is still better than 'all the rest of it' because that's only 44%. But I also need a title, which I suck at, and I also need an estimate word count, which I also suck at. I guess it's time to stop sucking for the day, or something.
