Infinitives with zu are used after a number of expressions, such as es ist schön, es ist schwer, es macht Spaß, es ist leicht, and es is Zeit. A writer may choose to set off the infinitive phrase for the sake of clarity: Ich habe vor, vier Tage zu bleiben.

Argh.

Tired, brain dead, but I think everyone who needed to be contacted about the house has been contacted. And there will be no goddamn writing tonight, tonight is for wrangling more web page stuff, the leviathan, and spreadsheets. Things that require a whole different section of my brain. Tomorrow there will be writing. Tonight there will be tumbling at best.

I am so sick of this whole house buying thing. I'm sick of being sick of it. I'm sick of it being this much of a hassle; it'd be one thing if it was fill out this form in triplicate, take it here, have it notarized, take it there, get copies of this, wait seven days for people to mail things to you, do it all over again. That feels more like an unavoidable hassle at least. This? This is a hassle that could have been avoided if they'd thought to goddamn address it way back when. I am so infuriated with the selling bank for that. At least my inspector sounds really enthusiastic about the house for, heh, the same reasons I was. "Ooho history!" So. Now I'll just let him know, again, and we'll all hope for third time lucky.

Tomorrow, assuming there's no huge orders coming in, all the filing ever. There's definitely nothing coming in by UPS, anyway, so that ought to be fine. And maybe in with the filing I can get some other work done and maybe, slowly, pull my brains back into my skull where they should be.

Oh, and while practicing my Arabic at work because I said 'FUCK IT, CALLIGRAPHY FOREVER'? I've come to the realization that I actually memorize letters better when they're in the context of a word. Go figure. Now I know, though.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!
