I think a lot of school type things are that way. The more you pick things apart to learn how they work and therefore use them yourself, the less mystery-type-fun they have. Some things, anyway. (Either that or I'm totally wrong on the source of un-fun.)

Yup. And those movies are an excellent source of explosions. And giant robots. I long for the day when Michael Bay realizes he needs less humans and more robots. I could really have done without half the human interaction plotlines in the third one, including that half hour of Shia Does the Darndest Things.
