Still kind of staring and shuddering at Paris, Beirut, Baghdad. So in lieu of saying anything about that, because I don't have much to say about the politics in specific and just the usual: please, be kind. In lieu of saying anything about that, some goodness.
1. Had capoeira yesterday, it went really well, I did more than I expected to be able to do about nine-ten days after finally feeling better. It looks like I've been able to pick back up from where I progressed to before I got sick, is the gist of it, and so I'm still moving forward. Afterwards went to lunch with the boys and another classmate who usually comes to Wednesday class, at a wonderful Indian restaurant, had a good time there.
2. I have decided to go to the other yarn shop because I think they have more superwash than I do and get some yarn for the Heartskull hat. Normally superwash wouldn't be my first choice, I'd just pick up something from my stash, but I want to keep this hat and not have it accidentally washed and felted by the boyfiend. Which he did to two of my Misti Alpaca scarves. He's so lucky I like him.
3. Going to bed at 10pm once I'd hit the wall of too exhausted can't do a damn thing but stare at TV and I don't even have control of the remote resulted in, well, initially some quiet anxiety about terrorism, terrorists, worrying about the people still in the hospital, existential angst. But then it resulted in waking up at 6.30 and getting a bunch of Duolingo, breakfast, shower, cat feeding, cleaning, etc done by 8.30 am. So I'm glad about that.
4. Also we had all three usual suspects today, Bat-Cat and Barton and Cassius. They were very friendly. Well, Bat-Cat and Cassius were friendly and snuggly and Barton was aloof on his outside shelter as per usual.
5. I ended up getting that Dragon's Kiss lip color because very limited run, so I might not get the yarn this paycheck after all, but lipstick the color of the blood of my enemies.
6. Picked up the bedroom and got the heated mattress pad on the bed and did a whole bunch of cleaning all done by 10.30 so there's plenty of time to relax and mess around and maybe even nap before the next bout of cleaning because there really isn't much left to do. O.o See also going to bed at 10pm.
So, things aren't all bad. I might update this some more as stuff happens. Or I might just stay under the covers reading all day. Which would also be a goodness and a blessing.
