So, I learned quite a bit about what happens during explosive decompression this morning, all before breakfast, thanks to the boyfiend reading about myriad unusual deaths. A lot of them were simply unusual circumstances for sharp things being introduced to soft bits, usually soft bits with significant blood vessels, but there were also a couple cascading infection worst luck in the world people, and then there was explosive decompression dude. Who turned out to be explosive decompression dudes.

This is actually my fault, even, because I was deconstructing Arrow last night of all things, saying how I didn't understand how they could introduce a toxin into an area that was only introduced by contact of blood to air, not by droplets of other bodily fluids or breathing/airborne. And the only thing I could pull out of my head that matched that was the Gloria Ramirez case in, what was it, California? In 1993? That I studied as part of the log I kept on the X-Files for bio class. Yes, I was that dork, but more importantly my teacher allowed it for extra credit, because I had awesome teachers. Comparisons of X-Files cases to real life science, anyway, that was how I discovered blood crystals ammonia blood woman, and that led to me explaining it to the boy, which apparently led to him researching unusual deaths for the past 12 hours. Our household is a fun and wacky household.

So, explosive decompression. And now I'm all "shit I have to use that in a story somewhere, that's actually really cool and also possibly a good way to murder." But then I realize that Hollywood has been murdering people by explosive decompression for years, so it's less cool and groundbreaking. Unless I describe what actually happens. That's kind of cool. And gross. And then I inflicted it on Twitter before people had had their morning coffee.

Ooh, some of my stamping stuff should be delivered today. Sadly not all of it, since I didn't see any plates I wanted and so the plates are coming from California instead, but some of it! And then this weekend I should be able to try out nail art stamping. Of such things are my amusements made.

I've gotten my writing done, which does not mean that I got the one story done but I might finish that when I get home. But I got not only my daily minimum done, but enough that my daily minimum for the last three days of the month is under 1k! I know that sounds algebraic and it kind of is, but the low-math rephrase is I'm way closer to making word count for the month than I was this morning. I've somewhat found a productive groove again. Long may it last.

So. Tonight. (And mostly for my own edification.) Getting White Lightning notated in the outline so that it matches up with the beats, the new character focuses, etc. That'll be the main work, and also mending bras and maybe, maybe finishing up the other story. Maybe. And the usual, Latin, Arabic, etc.
