I'm using Nameless because reasons.
Alan: An maith leat spórt?
Proinnsias: Is maith, cinnte.
Alan: Cén sórt spóirt?
Proinnsias: Is breá liom peil.

Alan: An maith leat ceol?
Orla: Is maith liom, cinnte.
Alan: Cén sórt (ceol)?
Orla: Is breá liom clasaiceach.

Alan: An maith leat siúl?
Cáit: Ní maith.
Alan: Cén fáth?
Cáit: Tá mé bacach faoi láthair.

Alan: An maith leat spórt?
Dáithí: Ní maith.
Alan: Cén fáth?
Dáithí: Tá mé leisciúil.

There. I have watched almost the entire atrocity that is the 200x BBC Robin Hood. Entirely for Richard "Centralia" Armitage, I watched up until his last scene in the finale and then went "bored now" and turned it off. I think I have the following things to say about his character: for all the evil things he did, and he did do a handful of things that were really vicious and evil and a great more things that were merely harsh, he also got the short end of the stick far more times than perhaps anyone else in the show. He got slapped around and called incompetent and undermined by the sheriff at every opportunity, he got slapped around and called evil by Robin and his men, he got slapped around and called evil by Marian when he wasn't being petted and told there was some good in him yet and, christ. I wanted to shake Marian and go make up your goddamn mind this isn't helping. Seriously, if you want to make an ally of someone MAKE AN ALLY OF THEM. Don't wishy-wash it because then you just screw up his head even more and piss him off. The morality of the entire show was centered around Whether Or Not You Sided With Robin, of course, so Marian's only consequence for fucking with Guy's head is to get shivved with a sword so she can be martyred, which is a tad excessive, I feel. Alan-a-Dale goes through so many changes of allegiance I can't keep track which, as far as I can tell, is largely because he's just looking to be comfortable. Which is now a crime. They wrote the two intelligent characters off the show at the end of season two because god forbid anyone else listen to them. Um.

I have issues with this show, can you tell? And yet I tolerated a few dozen hours of it for Centralia. Such is the hold he has on me.

... Excuse me I just discovered my Irish exercise includes the name Proinnsias. I have to go fall over laughing now. All those of you who have read Preacher know why.

It might be quiet at work today. Should be. I hope, anyway. Going to try to get started/work on my six in-progress fanfics for a couple weeks, then get back to original writing and maybe something will actually come of that this year. I suppose the good thing is, at least one of those is half done and I just got a brilliant idea for the other one, hah! The bad news is the other two require massive canon review. Which is only bad news in that that requires time, and me finding the damn books. Otherwise having an excuse to curl up and read books is never a bad thing.

Things and stuff. Did get some books unpacked yesterday, speaking of unpacking. Got some blogwork done, hung out on Yulechat a bit, all in all it was productive even if I didn't clean all the things, self. Some stuff was moved in, some stuff was moved out, work got done, and so did cleaning. And you've got too much shit to do to worry about how productive you have or haven't been in the past, so shut up and soldier, soldier. Sleep tonight. Work today.
