You will have noticed that some adjectives require go, which is untranslateable, before them. There are only a few of these, but they are quite frequent, and they tend to express approval or disapproval rather than just describing actual conditions. Go prefixes h to adjectives which begin with a vowel.
maith - good
olc - bad
dona - bad
deas - nice
álainn - beautiful
ainnis - awful
Tá an aimsir go maith. The weather is good.
Tá an aimsir go holc. The weather is bad.
Tá an aimsir go dona. The weather is bad.
Tá an lá go deas. The day is nice.
Tá an lá go hálainn. The day is beautiful.
Tá an lá go hainnis. The day is awful.
The great majority of adjectives stand on their own without go. For example:
Tá an tráthnóna fuar. The evening is cold.
Tá an oíche dorcha. The night is dark.
Sam Adama and his husband Larry are eating my brain, send help. No, seriously. Caprica was a good show and at some point I really will watch BSG I swear, but until this dies down it is the all Sam and Larry are cute show, all the time. I wish Caprica had gotten picked up just to see more of their adorable. Only that's what fanfic's for. Plus, if Caprica had gotten picked up I wouldn't be able to have the smoking hot, mysterious Captain Renard. O Captain My Captain.
Our rate extension expires on the 7th. And I haven't heard anything about the listing bank's things. FUN. I don't even know what we're going to do or how we're going to do it, at this point. If I'm not absorbed in fandom stuff at this point and I think about it I'm going to break down crying. This is fucking ridiculous. My end of things has everything ready, and the bank is taking two weeks at least to schedule these damn repairs, get more estimates, schedule them again, getting back to me on anything takes four or five days.
Never. Doing this. Again. Ever. They or I or both are goddamn lucky I am tenacious once I've got my teeth sunk into something.
No, dammit, I don't have any updates from the selling bank, argh. People. Leave me the fuck alone.
I would like some good news this week please.
